Along my journey I’ve learned one of the best ways to help keep my blood sugar levels in check as well a get body recomposition is through exercise. I know, I know sad but true – you gotta move that body. But it doesn’t have to mean hours at the gym or being a cardio queen! All of these easy workouts at home ideas can be done with some simple equipment and in a short amount of time.
Here’s a collection of prompts for you to refer to from my buddy Ro who is a much fitter model than I! I’ll be adding to the collection regularly – do one or a few depending on where you are at!
Exercise, especially resistance exercise, helps your muscles use up the sugars in the body and improve insulin resistance – my personal experience has been that my sugar levels will appear high even though I eat very little carbohydrate – unless I add in exercise! Our bodies produce glucose all by itself (gluconeogenesis) in the liver so even eating a carbohydrate free diet can still have you show higher glucose levels.
You can read more about it in this study (and the ones linked in that)
