I wish I could say I as one of those bloggers with a skinny success story (maybe one day!).
For now, I’m totally a work in progress.
How I Started with Ketovore
I started off the month thinking – ‘yeah I’ll go back to keto’ – so I embarked on what I thought would be a 5 day egg fast. Instead it turned into 2 days of egg fast and then because I wasn’t hungry and I was feeling good I thought, heck I might do a full fast.
I managed 5 days of water fasting with some bone broth and plenty of salt.
During that time I was spending a lot of time in fasting forums and I came across a lady whose story was almost a carbon copy of my own. She had transitioned to carnivore after many years on low carb/keto. So going with the flow I thought, heck I might try that. I committed myself to trying carnivore for 30 days.
Month One of Ketovore Results
As of these pictures I’ve been following ketovore/carnivore eating for 3 weeks. I haven’t lost a ton of weight but I am shrinking bit by bit- in fact I’ve only lost 100 grams since coming off the fast but the centimetres have gone down each week.
The most noticeable things I’ve experienced is my skin clearing up, my heels are no longer dry and calloused, my tongue has lost it’s white carpet (candida), I pretty much have NO cravings for carbs or sugar – I’ve even made brownies and cookies for the rest of the family and didn’t have or even want any.
Today I even had the energy to do some exercise!
I’ve already pledged to do a 100 days of ketovore with a bunch of others in group I’m in. I’m excited about where that will take me!
